I am interested in finding a company that provides private label visa
gift cards with my company's name. I want to offer branded visa cards
and I am looking for companies that offer co-branding and back end
admin services.

Hi!

It seems that for the "back end admin" services part, you will have to
negotiate with the company that issues co-branded visa cards.

I was able to find some companies in the USA that provide co-branded
Visa and Mastercards. I was also able to find consultants that help
you in your co-branding efforts and complete your project.

Would a list of companies and consultants be enough as answer since
you have to negotiate with the extra services indepentdently for each
issuer.

Thanks!

Yes that would help. Thanks for your assistance. The names and
numbers you give me will allow me to track down one of the companies
that issues them and see if they are interested in issuing my company
a co-branded card that we may make available to all of our clients.

The key here is that we are not a retailer (to whom many of them cater
to). We don't want an in-house credit card for repeat customers and
sales of our own products. We want a co-branded credit card
(Visa/MasterCard) that can be used anywhere by people that qualify for
our branded card.

Thanks again.

Hi! Thanks for the question.

If that is the case, then it would be best for you to go to a
consultant first before embarking on your project.

The VISA website provides a list Co-Branded Visa cards providers
consultants and their contact information. Please follow the links
below.

Visa Co-Branded Cards

Our next links will be featuring the financial institutions and
consultants offering Mastercard. Again we can get this from the
official website of Mastercard.

Finally, you may also want to explore an American Express co-branded
credit card. It seems that unlike with VISA and Mastercard, you have
to direct your queries with American Express themselves.

A very resourcful site.

Once you evaluate your business and find an appropriate underwriter,
the benefits of a private-label card are many, says Robert Buss, vice
president of credit cards at Bank of Louisiana. "Your customers will
have a relationship with you that they'll have with no other
merchant," he says. "With in-house cards, you can reach your customers
directly. You can't do that with Visa or MasterCard. If you want to
run a sale on shoes, for example, you can mail an insert with the
statement."

I have taken on this business endeavor two times in the past with
quite a bit of success. The one piece of advice that is very simple -
but - looms very big in your being successful or not is this.
Pick a well known company with a good name to associate with. Simple
yes - reason for this? When you start your advertising campaign
remember -
"You Are Known By The Company You Keep."
Take advantage of a well known company and their name without having to pay for it.
Think About It...
