Greetings! I found an excellent and comprehensive article on how to
construct a car amp rack. It was written by Wayne Harris and
originally appeared in the November/December 1990 issue of Car Stereo
Review magazine.
His article explains all the aspects of building the rack, materials
needed, tools needed and it includes diagrams on the rack and on
wiring as well.
On another keyword search, I found an article with photo instructions
for building an amp rack for an S2000. While that may not be the car
you have, the article is very precise with a list of materials and
step-by-step photographs on the making of the rack. Coupled with the
article above, you may get more design ideas for your own vehicle.
From a third keyword search, I located the site of a gentleman named
Dan Gyoba. He has a Supra page where he shows his basic amp rack
design with two photos.
