I want to put all 4,000 mp3 files in alphabetical order. Now all files are listed in folders by Artist. In each folder the artist name then the song title. I want to switch artist with title so the tiltle can fall into alphabetical order. Was I born lazy or of limited capacity. |

If you're just looking to reorder them in your MP3 player's playlist, rather than the files themselves, there's usually an easier option. In your player's option, there may be options for title formatting. For example, in Winamp, there are title formatting options that let you choose what pieces of info from the MP3 you want in it's title and in what order. If something like that works for you and is available, you might want to check that out. |

It sounds like you are actually looking to change the file names of all of your MP3 files. Music Match Jukebox Pro has a Smart Tagging feature that will compare your MP3 id3 tags to the CDDB and try to find the closest match to ensure the information is correct. then you can use the file renameing utility which is also part of it to rename the all of the files to just the song title or however you would like them organized. This is probably your best bet but oyu do have to pay for the software. There are other freeware MP3 file renaming programs but none as comprehensive. |
