I want to build temporary quonset hut or other shed type from bendable
pvc or metal tubing.--want to build it in roughly tubular segments that could
be caried by two people--hooked and unhooked together at another
location on the propery ---if 9 foot high at the peak how wide would
it be at the base---most important for you to understand is that iwant it for--
to build a storage shed to empty out my basement get in clean& paint
etc--You can scrap the above for any suggestion for cheap modular
storage--maybe the lower
4 or 6 feet or so of wall could be 1/2" exterior plywood with ix2
framing or better metal tube framing for the first four or 6 feet of wall & then
doing the arching parts with tubing---the length of the segments say
six or seven feet the width could be eight foot between the straight
lower part of the walls/opening--give me a guess about costs figuring
two guys@ $15/hr-thanks --Jack& Nancy

Where are you located? Two suggestions; 1) If you live in the United
States you can get a 10' x 20' tarp covered shed at Costco for less
than $200. If not try the following: www.tarps.com They will send you
the tarp and conectors for just about any size covered vehicle
shelter. I would suggets the "Barn Style" You provide the steel
tubing witch is 1 3/8 or 1 5/8 top rail fencing material available at
any home depot or any place that sells chain link fencing. Good Luck

There are also lots of PVC greenhouse kits (specialty connectors for
your standard schedule #40 PVC pipe) online that you can purchase, or
study for construction/installation tips, or modify w/ply half walls.
Some of these kits are very clever.
Things to consider in addition to the materials are; excessive heat
build up, venting options, rodent access, mold in damp climates,
condensation (especially a concern depending on roofing materials),
exterior grade fasteners (non-rusting), electricity, and personal
frustration level.
Best of luck to you

You could look at polytunnels - the hoop-shaped plastic greenhouses. I
suppose you could use opaque plastic sheeting if you wanted to.

Or if its' just for a few days or weeks whilst painting is carried
out, hire a 20' freight shipping container. They will be *much* more
secure than a shed.

UK Prices -- 8' x 10' polytunnel from GBP 197
