I am looking for links to FREE white papers and/or reports about
mobile commerce in Japan. Preferably these reports are current (2004
-2005) and downloadable, but I will take all-available. So far all the
links I have found are for very expensive ($500+) paid reports. I
really need Japan, but reports about other Asian nations (China,
Korea, etc.) would also be helpful. Many thanks.

I need a view more from a business angle rather than a technical. The
statistics that I am looking for are things (which may be good search
terms) like ARPU (Average Revenue Per User), Churn Rate, network type
(WCDMA, CDMA, GSM). I am looking for marketshare, how many users there
are, what is heir growth rates, and what type of applications are
popular (tickets, ecash, ringtones, chaku-uta).

The Japanese companies in question should be NTT DoCoMo, KDDI,
Vodafone Japan(aka J-Phone). The technology they use for NTT DoCoMo is
i-Mode, FeLiCa, Suica, EZwallet, Edy e-cash. For KDDI its KDDI/au or
AU service.
