Hello, I'm currently trying to find as much information as I can
regarding the Saturn Corporation and one of their dealerships.
Specifically, I'm looking for any civil suit information regarding
Saturn North of Columbus and dissatisfied customers or service related
issues.

If you can give us more precise information about the dealership,
particularly their address and location (Columbus Ohio?), we might be
able to better help you.

Of course, the dealership is one of three in columbus.
They are all owned by the same company.

mhrusovsky-ga,

Thanks for the added info...it's a huge help.

I checked with the Ohio Better Business Bureau, and basically, the
dealerships you listed have a clean bill of health, as far as the BBB
is concerned. All of them have listings that look pretty much like
this:

-----
Customer Experience

Any complaints processed by the Bureau in its three-year reporting
period have been resolved. The number and type of complaints are not
unusual for a company in this industry. Based on BBB files, this
company has a satisfactory record with the Bureau.

To have a Satisfactory Record with the Bureau, a company must be in
business for at least 12 months, properly and promptly address matters
referred to it by the Bureau, and be free from an unusual volume or
pattern of complaints and law enforcement action involving its
marketplace conduct. In addition, the Bureau must have a clear
understanding of the company's business and no concerns about its
industry.
-----

Translation: There are probably some complaints against these Saturn
dealerships, but they've generally been resolved, and don't seem
anything out of the ordinary as far as the BBB can see.

I can dig deeper to see if there are newspaper reports or legal cases
that show up in any of several different databases.

However, it may well be that such a search will come up empty-handed.
That is, I can look in-depth, but I can't come up with anything if
there isn't anything there. And even if there is, not all lawsuits
show up in legal databases.

Given the possibility that my answer might be: "I looked, but there's
nothing out there on these guys", do you want me to go ahead?

Of course, the answer may be very different, e.g. "Wow, there's a ton
of dirty laundry here!" But then again, it may not be.

Your call...let me know how/if you'd like me to proceed.

P.S. If you have a complaint yourself, and you haven't yet contacted
the BBB, you may want to consider doing so as your next step.

Thanks for your honesty...

First off, I have already logged a complaint with the BBB, and it's
been an uphill battle for any type of resolution. It's been letter
after letter after letter only to be asked over and over to 'clarify'
my complaint. It's been a little bit of a run-around that's for sure.

Given that, I feel that we should move foward to see if we can't dig
anything else up. My experience with the BBB thus far has raised some
concerns in who they are actually representing.

Also, an employee of the company recomended many repairs on my
vehicle, but when I brought this up to Saturn and the BBB, that
employee is no longer there and cannot be questioned as to the
motivation for the repairs, etc...

So, I guess I'm saying that it's alright to move forward and I will
accept if we find anything or just the run of the mill 'everything's
ok.' information.

I appreciate your honesty and asking for my input before proceeding.

mhrusovsky-ga,

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

I've had a quick look at both newspaper databases as well as legal
cases, and right off the bat, nothing's turning up on these guys.

The only real hit I got was an article to the effect that customer
satisfaction with Saturn dealerships in Ohio is just about as high as
for customers buying luxury car...not exactly a smoking gun!

There are some reports of overall mechanical problems with some cars
in the Saturn line, and I can look into that for you if you'd prefer.

However, before I dig any deeper, I just wanted to double-check. Are
you sure you want to spend to your $50 on an answer that might say
"Sorry....nothing much to report"?

Let me know.

Thanks again for your honesty.

I gave it some thought, and considered that the reports of mechanical
problems will probably be helpful in finding a resolution with the
company. I appreciate all the work you have put in. If the model of
the car helps, I currently have a SL1.

Let me know if you need anything further, So far I'm really impressed
with this service !
