Who are the main competitors to this service?

Is there a way that anybody but me can see my historical list of
questions that I've asked, or any of the answers? (Please answer from
the user's perspective (I"m the user) and from the perspective of the
Google Gurus (you guys).

Thanks.

Okay, you guys. Thanks for all the comments. I think I'll shut down
the question now so we all get back to work. And now that I know the
pills don't work, I can spend all that saved money to get more
questions answered on Gurgle Answers. Thanks again.

Just type your user id into the search box and up pops every question
you've ever asked or commented on. That's when one realises that
sometimes it pays to keep one's opinions to oneself!

Interesting that this question wasn't locked automatically for
containing "Google". Has this 'feature' stopped, or are they just
getting quicker at processing the traffic?

Historical data is visible to all
- and it is kept

Also, as I found to my surprize, historical data can be found with a
normal Google search
- I am not sure how heavily it is indexed
- But I've just searched on my nick - and a sample came up

Things do tend to mysteriously disappear
- but they are normally contentious posts/threads

I know this is more of a question than a comment, but I've always
wondered if any of the GA researchers actually work at Gloogle's HQ?

BB,

Anyone working for "Gloogle" usually sticks to the task.

You guys who work for this service, which I guess is new, might want
to suggest to the Google gods-to-be that they should make this a
confidential service, maybe for an extra fee. For one, I don't want to
pay for some proprietary research and then give it away to the world.
Two, I wanted to ask about the efficacy of those "extender" pills I
see advertised in my in-box, but now I'm too embarrassed.

@needtoknowit-ga

Don't worry - all anyone sees is your Fred-ga name
- not your Email address
You can open up a new GA name like: DickHead-ga and use that for embarrassing stuff

Sure the people at Gurgle can figure out who you are from your credit
card details, and (unless you get cute) your Email address, but they
are not going to broadcast it. Hmm they might tip off the researchers,
just for laughs.

You could even conduct an argument with yourself, and unless it was
really out of order, there is not much Gurgle needs to do about it.
Bear in mind, unless you are using fixed IP, there is nothing stopping
you bouncing back with another Email address and (if you ask
questions) your mother in law's credit card.
Gurgle know that - so there is little point in their losing sleep about it.
Also anyone with an IQ over 50 can work that one out.

About paying for 'expensive' research that others can then see
- well you sort of have a point
- but at $200 max nothing is really that expensive
  (sometimes the research is awesome)
- also the fact that others can see the answers etc - is, well, part of the charm
- I also believe that G. retains copyright to all the answers - Nota Bene.

Also this is not a new 'service', it has been running well over a year

I must confess, it was pretty astute of you to ask the question.

One word of warning - all new posts with 'G**gle' in them get
automatically locked - and manually reviewed.
If you touch a nerve (as I did once) you get a polite Email saying
your question has been terminated - and presto - your question
disappears.

I look forward to seeing two new GA members
- one obsessed with his 'member'
- and the other making astute comments and asking interesting questions.

You broke the ice now, go on and ask, on behalf of all of us...

I think you can be confident that your nickname provides you with
enouugh anonymity. --I happen to be a very famous American
politician.. bet you never suspected---

You are using a nickname aren't you? If your name is actually
something like John Q. Needtoknowit, then you might want to wait for
some one else to ask about those pills.

Just to get past the "pills" part- while watching the news last night-
a older man came on the "10 tv invesigates" section and for all those
that where watching, admitted to paying the $69 for a 30 day supply,
and then shared with us that the pills in fact did not work. Could not
find the story this morning to post... but did find this news story:

Ability of anyone to see your paid answers:
If only you could read this Q/A, the sponsored links would not do
Ooogle much good. The price of the answers filters out large numbers
of idiotic questions that people wouldn't pay money for and makes this
service interesting to read which makes a few text ads profitable (or
so we would hope). I doubt there would be much or any net income if
they did not have an openly viewable service.

Herbal enhancing products:
You may notice that the claims in TV ads for the same products don't
actually state any benefits. Nothing but vague and positive sounding
words like "natural enhancement."

politician.. bet you never suspected---"

Like...duh?? I should be impressed??? NOT...lol:)

Good luck in any further endeavours...
