I am using java application which inserts and updates the Mysql
database. When ever I use that application the cpu usage goes to 100%
computer freezes and almost shutsdown. MYSQL Database version I use is
4.0.15. I am using win 2000, RAM 523 mb, speed 850 mhz,hard drive 70
gb. I am sure that it is not application but the database itself. Does
MYSQL database has a bug?

There have been problems with MySQL in the past running under windows.
The build your using appears to be rather old. I've had no problems
with the later builds running under win2k. I would suggest one of the
4.1 builds for windows. I believe the latest is 4.1.10.
