Howdy xlr8s1v1ce-ga,

Dwayne Douglas Johnson, probably best known by his WWE (formerly known
as the WWF) persona of "The Rock," comes from African-Canadian and Samoan
descent.

He segued his professional wrestling fame into making movies, such as "The
Scorpion King."

More from the AskMen.com biography on "The Rock."
http://www.askmen.com/men/apr00/22_the_rock.html

"The Rock was born Dwayne Johnson on May 2, 1972 in the state of California.
His mother is of Samoan heritage, the daughter of The High Chief Peter Maivia,
and his father, the great legend Rocky Johnson, is of African-Canadian
heritage."

From other web pages I read, I found out his mother's name is Ata. Both his
maternal grandfather and father were popular professional wrestlers as well.

If you need any clarification, feel free to ask.
