I was fired from a hotel 12 years ago. Tomorrow (Friday) I have a job interview with a hotel that is managed by the same management team that managed the hotel I was fired from 12 years ago. Different jobs, different hotels, same management team. Is there a statute of limitations regarding termination? How long does a termination stay on my record? How much information do I have to volunteer regarding my termination? |

Most employers expect you to be honest about your employment record, regardless of how much time has passed. Concealing a previous job can be quite risky; if you are hired, and your employer later learns that you lied on your application, you may be dismissed for that reason. |

In fact, sug59-ga, if you don't include it on your resume, don't be surprised if the interviewer doesn't bring it up themselves, and then tells you that you aren't the right person for the job. Corporations, in this case the management team, keep records for a long time. |
