I need to find market research on the market for magnetic ballasts
primarilary in the United States but also in Europe and the Pacific
Rim. I am only interested in ballasts that drive lamps above 175
watts...so am not looking low wattage lighting situations.

I am specifically looking for the size of the market in dollars, the
tpyes of ballasts manufactured/sold (magnetic vs. electronic vs.
other; the leading
manufacturers by Company name and brand; the distribution channels and
classification of verticle markets these ballests are sold into
(Athletic Facilities, Convention Centers, Parking Lots, etc.

I am also interested in the hiearchy of influencers in the decision of
what kind of ballasts ultimately get used.  

Additionally I am interested in the general business trends and issues
with in the industry including seasonal and regional issues as well as
any observations about differences between new construction vs.
retrofit as it relates to lighting and ballasts.  

I'd like recent data, nothing older than 2002.
