Stillman is a 19th century artist, and I'm interested in finding a
good size printed copy of one of her works. Since I don't know the
title, I can only describe it:
The scene looks like medeival Italy, with stone walls, buildings, and
a narrow street leading out to a square with a fountain. A woman,
possibly a nun, is leaning forward over a second-floor balcony
overlooking the square. She has one hand raised as if in blessing to
the people below. A cluster of five or six monks in brown robes is
closest to her balcony, and they're looking up at her with obvious
respect. I have it in a very low resolution image, but I need a print
of it, in a book or whatever, so I can create a digital file of it
suitable for publishing. There are no copyright issues, of course,
just the lack of a physical copy. Can you find an actual source for
this painting in print form?
Many thanks! |

Thanks for the reference, Pafalafa, but looking at that higher
resolution jpeg again, I can see that there are no more details
possible, no matter what the resolution. The faces were what I wanted
to improve, but I don't think even the original had any better details
of the face.
So Scriptor, go ahead and make your answer the final one. And thanks
again, to you and to Pafalafa.
