Is there any connection between the eleven 1 dimensional lines a
person would see when standing in the corner of a cube and the eleven
single dimensions in M-theory?

aren't you missing one line? I see 12 edges in a cube.

A cube does have 12 edges, but you'd only see 11 if you were inside
the cube with your back to one corner (estabishing a frame of
referance).

Good point. Did not think of that.

 A agree with Alex's comment.

The website is asking be to respond, so I guess I'd better --- The
cube is such a basic structure. It seems an odd coincidence that the
current thinking of the basic structure of the universe we live in is
so similar to what we would see if we were living in a cube (not to
say padded cell) :)

there may be a slight misunderstading about working of GA here.
You have no obligation to continue this dialog.
Website was just telling you RFC arrived.
You have two options: 1) leave this alone, even after website sends
you another mail. which it will.
                       2) ask me explicitely for another explanation -
which I will put to the Answer field - and cause your card be
charged.

I would be happy to provide more explanation and links - but I cannot
change the fact that it is a mere coincidence. There is always some
solid or something, which has number of edges or something equal to
some physical quantity. To see meaning in that is called 'physics
numerology' and is rarely respectable.

Hedgie

P.S. You can also put a comment into a comment filed,
but do not use RFC field, until you want to spend $10 on
 elaboration of the 'no' answer.

No.
There is no relation at all.
The eleven dimensions of some theoretical Models are independent -
thus the name "dimensions".
In a cube, the 11 lines you see they all belong to the three dimensional space.

Alex.
