I ordered a Lathe from Amazon during the Christmas season, they
shipped the Lathe without the other items that go with the
Lathe(Knives) since my wife was giving me this for christamas., I
ordered and recieved another Lathe in time for Christmas. When the
freight company called me for deliverfy I refused the order and my
reason was incomplete items ordered. The Lathe cost was $499.00 and I
paid by credit card. I called amazon asking why no refund, well
actually they refunded $2.95 cents. That's right $2.95. They are
saying the freight was that much. I do not believe them Where can I go
to get help for this rippoff? I'm willing to pay actual freight cost
but I believe they are lying to me. Cannot get a decent e-mail or
anyone to talk to me by phone.

You are most likely being too abrasive when you call amazon because I
have never had a problem talking to them. I am not sure that not
shipping your whole order is a bad thing since they give you the
choice to ship entire order or ship items separately. If you really
feel they are wrong you should contact the better business bureau.

The way you're describing this is confusing. Did you pay Amazon twice
($998) or once ($499). You refused the first shipment because it was
incomplete? How could you tell what was in the box if you refused it?

If you paid them once, I'm not sure what the complaint is (you got one shipment).

If you paid them twice and only received one shipment, it seems like
that would be easily solved because Amazon cannot prove they delivered
two shipments. Surely, they will realize, based on the evidence of
delivery, that you are justified in asking for a refund on the
duplicate order (if this is the case).

Which is the case?

If you paid by credit card, call your credit card company and request
that they dispute the charge.
