On what date was the movie "Rollerball", starring James Caan, first broadcast on television? It would have to be after 1975, which is when the movie was first released. It would also most likely have been broadcast on the ABC network, since a promo for it appeared on "The Wide World of Sports." |

February 9, 1977 A listing for the TV premiere appeared in the NY Times: ----- NY Times February 9, 1977 pg 53 9:00 (2) MOVIE: Rollerball (1975)...Long on sci-fi effects, short on subsstance (2 hrs, 35 mins) (Television Premiere) (Network advises that the program deals with a mature theme). ----- Hah! They call that mature!?!? By the way, channel 2 in NYC is CBS not ABC. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do for you on this question.
