This store apparently had the item on sale as of Feb this year. I'm
trying to find anyone who still has stock (and will ship to the US, if
not a domestic company). I am probably looking for one of the smaller
sizes that were produced, if not the smallest.

Zimmermann is the manufacturer (http://www.zimmermannwear.com)

An old copy of the site lists the suit as "Girl Grid," but I believe
this to be incorrect. I have never found a single match to this suit
matching "Girl Grid" anywhere else. It is a different style entirely.
I am not sure as to the correct name.

The old Zimmermann photo is available at http://bymeinc.com/zimm06-0196.jpg

Dear Trailmug,
Thank you for this great opportunity to go to beach on snowy morning.
Why does it have to be that one? There just so many attractive
bathing suits for someone who can wear the one you want, but I didn't
find it either.
Good luck!

Hey, have you tried to contact Zimmerman or the stores listed on the
website you gave? "Contact us" is not an email switch, just
headoffice address and tel., and those of lots of stores. In Aussie
Land, the summer is ending, and anyone who had your suit would
probably be more than happy to pop it in an envelop and mail it.
I guess you have thought and tried this, but if you haven't, I'd call
Zimmerman and ask if they knew stores that had ordered the suit - if
they don't still have it in stock themselves - and maybe they would
even be so helpful as to call around for you, as a service to you and
to their outlets. Maybe get your boyfriend (or brother) to call and
sweettalk them into trying: "'cause my girlfriend is just wild about
it, and I want to give to her for her birthday," or whatever. Give
him some idea about the size or a physical measurement that could be
useful (Shoulder to ... ahemmm).

I tried to shoot them an email several months ago without a reply,
haven't thought about real-time communication. Perhaps I'll have to
acquire some international dialing skills ;)

I don't think 'Girl Grid' is the name of the suit.

I think it's the description of the photo. Note the 'grid' of light
from the venetian blinds.

I'd do a search of everyone who sells bathing suits online and send
them an e-mail with the pic attached, ask them if they have one, and
tell them you're ready to buy.

I bet you'll get some action that way. After all, they're in business
to sell swim suits and get questions like yours all the time.

Try www.austique.co.uk - they ship internationally, stock Zimmerman
and offer amazing customer service.
