I think it was filmed in the 80s; I was much too young to tell when it was made.

Anyhow, here is the plot:

A tinker builds this awesome motorcycle with really cool gadgets on
it. A crime organization wanted it. The baddies killed the guy but he
knew this was going to happen or something so he made this recording
of himself teaching his girlfriend or wife (can?t remember.) how to
activate the bike. Without the knowledge of how to activate the bike,
the bike is worthless to the bad guys.

Anyhow she uses this bike to extract revenge, killing the people that
killed her man.

Truly awful flick if I remember properly. But we?re doing a bad movie
weekend and I figure I show this to my friend.

By the way, the bike is a motorcycle, looks like some futuristic sport bike.

Hi zousand,

Not exactly the same description, but could this perhaps be the movie?

"A bionic vigilante avenges the death of his scientist father by using
his invention, a lethal transforming robot/motorcycle, to fight his
murderers, the evil Sigma Organization led by the wheelchair-bound
cyborg Dr. Akunomiya."

Best regards,
Rainbow

I am confident that the movie you're remembering is "Cyclone." I saw
this movie late at night on cable a few years ago, and its plot
matches what you've described. I watched it because it features
Jeffrey Combs, one of my favorite B-movie actors. It was pretty bad,
but it was a good sort of bad, if you know what I mean.

Info about "Cyclone":

Internet Movie Database: Cyclone (1987)
http://imdb.com/title/tt0092812/

Some plot summaries:

"Rick has developed the ultimate mototcycle, the Cyclone. It is a $5
million bike equipped with rocket launchers and laser guns. Rick meets
his fate and it is up to his girlfriend Teri to keep the Cyclone from
falling into the wrong hands. Teri can trust no one but herself."

Internet Movie Database: Cyclone (1987)
http://imdb.com/title/tt0092812/plotsummary

"Cyclone is the name of a futuristic motorcycle that everybody is
trying to get their hands on. Heather's boyfriend created the
motorcycle, it cost 4 million dollars to make, and it runs on a
futuristic transformer that sucks hydrogen from the air. A bunch of
thugs kill Heather's boyfriend, and now it is up to her to keep this
important new technology out of the hands of the bad guys."

Mike's Sanctuary: Cyclone
http://home.paonline.com/mikehoov/HOBBIES/MOVIES/VHS/VHS_Reviews/Cyclone.htm

"In this fast-paced actioner, a brave young woman must deliver a
specially designed, top-secret super-destructo armored motorcycle that
runs on oxygen to the US military after the man assigned to deliver
it, her lover, is murdered by enemy agents. Soon after finding his
body, the woman finds a video he made that tells her how to work the
machine and where she must take it. Unfortunately for her, the enemy
is out there waiting and determined to steal the bike for themselves.
Part of the fun in this film is looking for popular B movie stars from
years' past. Such stars include Huntz Hall, Troy Donahue, and Michael
Reagan."

Jurassic DVD: Cyclone

From a wonderful review by the inimitable Joe Bob Briggs:

"Heather Thomas wears a yellow breast-parachute in a punk bar, spits
on Martin Landau's ring, and wears a lot of really neat El Lay
sportswear in this thriller about a guy who gets murdered for building
the world's greatest motorcycle ('more powerful than an F-16') and
then not telling anybody except Heather how to work it. This makes the
government so mad they put Tim Conway Jr. outside Heather's house and
tell him to imitate his father's old routines, but this makes Heather
so mad that she blow-dries her hair and gets out the super-cycle that
looks like a regular cycle with black cardboard taped to it, and she
zooms off to meet Troy Donahue. Pretty soon she's caught up in a
thrilling story of international intrigue, over-the-hill character
actors, gratuitous Martin Landau, and the ultimate betrayal: her own
aerobics teacher turns on her."
