I have found two legitimate firms that will send out my ad to life
insurance agents across the country. What they can't do is break them
down by state...only by occupation. Unfortunatly, their rates are
excessive. Do firms exist that are legitimate that will send out your
ad via emails that won't charge a fee that is excessive...by excessive
I mean any charge in excess of $100 per million? Also, are there
firms that fit this category and can break them down by state.
Thanks, Randy

that does sound a little silly...of the one million, some 220,000 are
insurance agents..the remainder fit into different categotes like
doctors, farmers, etc.

since retiring five years ago, i now am back in business and i see one
large glareing thing...a whole industry of shysters, crooks, liars,
thieves has risen out of the ashes selling leads to just about every
type salesman in the country....insurance, real estate,
anything....they are crooks ..what they do is tell you they charge
sixty an hour to cold call and they get one appointment per
hour...actually they just cram the appointment down the throats of
elderly people and they set 12 to 15 an hour making 700 to 900 an
hour...what a racket and the unsuspecting agent is out a bundle..they
have an initial minimum of say 1500 so if you don't go back they don't
care, they hit you for a big "lick" once and will just go on to the
next "sucker"....its terrible and the worse thing is when someone
honest comes along, they are screwed because no one believes them....

$100 per million? How many insurance firms are there in your country?
Maybe I'm crazy but a million solicitations to actual firms doesn't
sound bad at all for $100.

Email ads usually aren't very effective. I can't think of anything of
massive scale efficiency for $100. Sorry.

I bet you'd be more impact by going to dmoz.org, and yahoo directory
looking at the insurance firms, and sending them a query. Chances are
the automated email programs constantly spam the same addresses and
have been blocked by the active email accounts. If you send a personal
email people might just listen. Autocreated solicitations sent by
robots disgust me, and I'm sure many other people feel the same.

Google adwords has a great tool that isolates a region. I would think
they're far better because you're targetting people looking for your
service rather than just throwing an unwanted ad to their email.

Also searching "--whatever state--- insurance" firms would work. I'm
sure the top ranked for the keyword "insurance" get spammed(and
probably do their share of spamming) enough.

Best of luck.
