What does the symbol mean. Thank you

Clarification of Question by tropical-ga on 07 Mar 2005 13:40 PST
I don't know where it is from. I was thinking Greek or Chinese. It is
being sent to be and is used at the start of the email so I presume it
is a term of endearment.

Which "character coding" are you using?

Could you post a link to a webpage showing this symbol?

Well, using Unicode I cannot recognize the symbol (i.e. three symbols
?) you've copied and pasted.

Could this be the first character?

Or this one?

Well, the symbol does not seem to be Chinese (or Japanese).

Using Internet Explorer and Unicode I do not see a symbol but three
characters. The first one being the small letter i with two dots
(trema) as referred to on this webpage:
http://jrgraphix.net/research/unicode_blocks.php?block=1 (EF)

But I suppose that this is not the symbol you would like to identify.
Are you using Internet Explorer? If so, which character coding?

I'm not using any character coder. I was hoping there was some way of
finding out what this meant without asking the 'sender' as I know he
is sending it as a challenge and I am sure it is a term of endearment.
Thanks for your continued effort. Regards tropical-ga

I'm not certain, but it seems to me that to get the more
symbol/computer/language savy people you'll want to post this in
another category and with another name other than Relationships.

Unfortunately I don't see a good category to put the question in, but
if you re-post it with the title something like "What do these symbols
mean?" you're more likely to get people to look at the post who know
more about symbols.

Good luck finding the answer!

The symbol ¿ is the open interrogation symbol in Spanish.
