I'm searching (been searching on & off since 1994) for a title to a movie that was fiction and, I believe, the script was in a native american-indian language. I remember reading the English subtitles. Vaguely, the story line was about a young indian man's journey with his grandfather who kept thinking he was dying or preparing to die. At one point, it appeared that he did die and he was put on a pyre - but he actually was not dead. It was humerous but not a comedy. My son & I watched this movie together late one night - enjoyed it and we've talked about it for years - but I've never been able to find it after that night. I *think* it was on the Disney pay channel (1994) - but I cannot say for sure. It was not an old movie (<1980). Any ideas? Thank you.

Hi wisenewland, I'm glad I was able to locate the movie you were looking for. Windwalker (1980) Directed by Kieth Merrill Runtime: 108 min Country: USA Language: English / Cheyenne / Crow Plot Summary: An ancient Indian chief who believes he has died must come back from his 'death' to save his tribe from the raiding party of rival Indians in this unique story of 'Indians without a single cowboy.' Trivia: With the exception of a voice-over narration, the movie is entirely in the Cheyenne and Crow Native American languages with subtitles. Internet Movie Database http://www.us.imdb.com/title/tt0081760/ Windwalker is available for purchase at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00013F34Y/ I hope this is helpful. Best wishes, Rainbow
