Hmmm - Perhaps it's a DNS lookup issue, I seem to remember a similar
problem in the dim and distant past that was similar to this. I seem
to remember that Windows 2003 SMTP service has it's own DNS Server
entries, they are not automatically taken from your IP settings thus
it can't always resolve the destination domains properly.

I'm not at a computer to check this right now - but I'll post back
when I've had a look.

Hope this helps

I have the same problem.
I found entries in the Event Log that speculate that the error has to
do with not having a FQDN (Full Qualified Domain Name) on the server.
It looks like many servers just drop the connection as they cannot
verify the server against a Blacklist of spam servers.

It might also be DNS issues. To rules these out, I used the
SMTPDiag.exe program from the Microsoft website. It tests the DNS
settings quite well and
is very easy to use.

I'm looking to have the email forwarded to my email server and use it
as a relay. It gives me better logging abilities anyway.

Cheers
