i want to download music to wav. and other file types and put these on
a C.D.---I can put images and documents on cd-s but I am rank beginner
with sound--suggest books, websites, software. that would be a decent
start for me-Once I get something i'm good starting a new subject is
hard for me. Thanks Jack (jack helping wife Nancy who is a musician
and artist & who looks to me computer issues)

Let me show you if I understand your question:
What you need is:
- Rip Audio CDs (Convert Cds that you bought in a shop to mp3, wav or
another audio format)
- Make compilation CDs in different formats like common audio Cds, mp3 Cds, etc.

Am I right?

It's done the same way.  Copy the picture (song) and paste the
picture(song) to the CD.
