What does the work camasian mean? As in The Camasian Group.

What does the word "camasian" mean? Never mind the "Camasian Group". I
do not have any other context, that is the problem. If I do a google
search it comes up quite a lot, mostly in personal ads, but the
context there is not helpful or clear. It seems to be a slang term.

As I said in my comment below, "camasian" is not a word in the English
language. No dictionary that I have consulted lists such a word.
Online sources which use "camasian" seem to refer to porn Web camera
sites featuring Asian models. Unless your son's employer is in the
porn business, it is likely that the word was made up by the firm's
owners or a public relations firm.

Not all words used in companies' names have "meaning." Think of
"Kodak." It was a word specifically created as a company name. Until
it was created, it had no meaning. This may be the case with
"camasian." As I have said, I have not found "camasian" in any
dictionary of the English language.

The only references I have found to "camasian" are on porn sites,
where it's apparently a made-up term referring to webcams featuring
Asian models.

As far as I can determine, "camasian" is not a word in the English
language. If a business is using "camasian" in its name, it is likely
that the business owners created the word.

May I also add, that when one makes a "safe search" on Google for this
term, very little is found (mostly typos or "adult" pages that have
escaped the screening process). In other words, it doesn't seem
(though one cannot be sure) that it is a commonly used word in any
language at all, except for the slang of adult site operators and
users.
