The best option would be the compression application called ?Stuffit Deluxe? This will provide you with maximum (stable) compression of .psd and .tiff files whilst retaining the quality. It also has an automated email and ftp feature that will enable you to send your files via internet easily and efficiently. The software can be found @ http://www.stuffit.com/win/deluxe/index.html I have used it before for the same type of objective and have found it superior to other available software. Thanks CJ |

You didn't mention whether you are using a Mac or Windows machine. If you're a Mac user and are running Panther, you can "zip" your files straight from the finder. Just select the files (or folders) and go to File>Create Archive of "..." Zip files are considered more cross-platform compatible--that doesn't discount the recommendation from the first comment; Stuffit Deluxe can compress files in just about any compression format out there and is available for both Mac & Windows platforms. There is no loss of quality in either the ZIP or SIT compression formats since you're compressing native files and not changing the data (like you would when creating a JPG file). |
