I have naturally blond hair. a few months ago, I used L'Oreal Permanent Hair coloring to change it to Red. I do like it, but now I am ready to be a blond again. I tried just dying it back to blond, but there was no change in the color. Any suggestions? |

Hairdressers call the procedure "stripping." This is best done by a professional; trying to do it yourself is risky. |

I would reccomend in using a blonding kit, rather than just dying your hair back using a typical blonde hair dye. When you coloured your hair in the first place, you have dyed out your normal hair melanin and replaced it with red dye. You will need to bleach out the red melanin present in your hair, so a blonding kit (something like bleach blonding or extra light blonding) would be of the most use. Remember that dying your hair too often will damage the cutical on the outside of your hair, making your hair more porus and coarse to feel. |
