I don't think this is data you will be able to find. The only way we
can obtain reaserch is to find any and all types of notied incidences.
Would that be suffeciant?

I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around where to locate _any_
data. I doubt necrophiliacs take part in studies or surveys.
Statistics as to frequency of necrophila in a population is probably
available, that's all I can even imagine.

The difficulty with finding statistics is that the victims never ever
report to the police.

Sadly the victims are usually very tight-lipped on reporting these crimes.

I'm not sure about current data but if you want to get an overview,
you might consider checking out Alfred Kinsey's books. They were
originally published in 48 and 53 but were re-released in 98. One is
Sexual Behavior in the Human Male and the other is Sexual Behavior in
the Human Female. He reported statistics on lots of behaviors such as
necrophilia, zoophilia, etc.

And I just got this from emedicine.com
"In the US: Paraphilias are considered rare, affecting only a small
percentage of the US population. Researchers have a difficult time
trying to determine a specific percentage of involved individuals
because many of the acts are illegal and reporting methods (ie,
self-reporting) typically are unreliable. "

Internationally: International percentages of patients with
paraphilias are difficult to discern because these disorders are rare.
