To whom it may concern: I have a question regarding the differences between the Chinese prostitutes in Southeast Asia and those of the North America during the mid nineteenth century?---especially in terms of the reasons for Chinese women to became prostitutes in Southeast Asia or in North American counties, how these reasons are similar or different? and what cause these similarities and differences? Also I want to know how were the treatments that these Chinese prostitutes faced in these two distinct environments? and how did the migration law or local policies of Southeast Asia and North America affected the lives and incomes of these oversea Chinese prostitutes? |
