Se.dll removal from http://www.oflaherty.dk

Se.dll is a component of IEPlugin which is an IE BHO that monitors web
site addresses you visit, form contents and even your local file
browsing and displays adds when you type certain keywords in your
browser.

Remove the following from your registry is they exist:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Win Server
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Win Server Updt
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Win
Server Updt [C:\WINDOWS\wupdt.exe]
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Win Server Updt
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\conscorr

Reboot your machine.

Open up msconfig and delete any references to the following:

extract.exe
se.exe
systb.exe
wdskctl.exe
wupdt.exe
winserv.exe

Unregister and delete the following DLL's

ieplugin.dll
se.dll
systb.dll
winobject.dll

Reboot. All should be well now, however I would recommend running a
registrycleaning utility afterwards, to ensure all is well.

Disclaimer: This may not work, and I accept no reponsability if your
machine goes belly up if soemthing goes wrong! Always ensure you have
made backups of your system before messing with any settings or the
registry.

Download the latest version of CWShredder v2.13, then let it scan, it
should find a hidden dll file. once found click the back button, then
click the fix button. It will probably ask you to reboot.....reboot.
You will then probably have to go into your registry and under HKEY_CURRENT_USER
go to software>microsoft>internet explorer>Main and change your
startpage and anything else that reads "about blank" to what you want
your home page to be.
Make sure to also do the same in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

Hope this helps as this is what I did to rid my computer of the se.dll
trojan from my computer.

First of all you must find out which one application brough se.dll to your box.
Then boot PC in safe mode, uninstall that application, remove se.dll
and run registry cleaner.

I think the se.dll problem is more or less solved now, or at least it
renamed itself. There are now two other dll files that reappear
whenever I delete them, and that seem linked to spyware. The se.dll is
hopefully gone for good. Thanks for the advice so far.
