I would like to find a true professional photographer in Southern
Maryland for under $1500.  I get outrageous prices in the
$2000-$10,000 price range and I'm looking for someone cheaper.  I
though the internet might be a great resource.

Cunningham - his work is simply spectacular as well as affordable. 
When I reviewed his portfolio, I likened his work to Avedon and
Mapplethorpe - David knows *when* to snap the shutter to capture the
combination of beauty and emotion (and beauty *through* emotion).

He shoots portraits, advertising and events, and he will travel.  If
memory serves me correctly, he'll be in the D.C. area for a shoot in
early April.  You may be able to piggyback a seesion with him at that
