I am running Macintosh Manager 1.4 and Mac OS 9.2 in a computer lab.
All of a sudden my accounts can be accessed with a simple return
instead the correct password. How can I defeat this sudden flaw?

You might try joining the mailing list at
http://www.macenterprise.org/ and asking the many experienced Mac
techs there. It's just been too long since I've used Mac Manager to
answer your question.
