1.) buy it. ca ~$10/g Alfa Aesar 2.) start with bromide $3/g, make grignard (ether @ 0 C), chuck in trimethyl borate(ether 0C). dump reaction into 5% HCL. recrystallize, toluene (51%) Zeitschrift fuer Anorganische und Allgemeine Chemie (2002), 628(13), 2827-2833 Alternatively make ur advisor buy it after trying to make the pinacol boron using this effed up catalyst..lol Journal of the American Chemical Society (2000), 122(51), 12868-12869 |
