I need a list of the general partnerships registered in California. 
Specifically I need info re two companies: (1) Werby Reality and (2)
Grosvenor Properties.  Both are or were in the San Francisco Area. 
The more info the better.

Ajs,

Some California business searches can be done at the Secretary of
State's Web site:

   California Secretary of State
   Business Portal
   http://www.ss.ca.gov/business/default.htm

However, the SoS doesn't have a database of general partnerships
because GPs are not required to register with the state.

You can call the following SoS department and request a company search
over the phone. They will search their paper files for registered
companies, but there's no guarantee that records are available:

   Limited Partnerships Office
   California Secretary of State
   916-653-3365, ext. 310

If they have no records, you can also contact the County offices where
each company resides.
