I'm in a Marriott upscale hotel with a Panasonic TV Model CT-25S10H2U.
I brought my XBox gaming console, connected it up via a RF modulator,
and tried to turn the TV to channel 3 or 4 to play. No luck -- the TV
is preprogrammed for a specific channels and I can't turn to 3 or 4.
The hotel remote can't override this (no setup button). Question: How
can I turn the channel 3 or 4?
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

Buy a universal remote. Most of the time you will be able to access
the tv menu to "add" the channels.

Why don't you get a scart lead for your xbox instead? You won't have
to tune anything - chances are you'll plug it in and the tv will
switch straight to it?

Besides - fiddling with the TV is probably not to be advised - Can't
imagine the next guest would be too pleased when they can't watch
channel 3 eh? Come to think of it you're probably the reason I can
never get decent picture when I stay in hotels eh! LOL

Using an Universal remote is a good idea but I'm skeptical if it can
add a channel.

On scart... unfortunately not available as I'm in the U.S. I just
have a coax connection to the TV.

Yes, you can add and delete channels with the universal remote. After
programming the remote, just go to the tuning part of the tv menu. I
do this all the time with my PS2.

I don't know this specific TV, so just a general comment.

Depending on the remote you have, most of the time the channel up/down
buttons will scroll through the channels that have been added to the
TV's memory, but if the remote has a numeric keypad on it you should
be able to direct-access any channel you want by typing in "03" (or
some other number).

FYI, there are some hotel security systems out there that keep track
of whether or not the TV is still connected to the coax, and if you
disconnect the cable it can cause an alarm at the front desk. If the
TV isn't securely bolted down somehow I would be suspicious that they
are protecting it some other way.
