SMU's web site says they give dance scholarships of varying amounts.
I have several questions related to this: About how many dancers does
SMU accept each year to its dance program? What percentage of these
receive scholarships? What is the average amount of a dance
scholarship? Are they negotiable?

Subject: About 13 dance students per year...

According to the PDF file below, the dance division had 54 students
majoring in dance (all undergraduates) in fall 2004. And the dance
division awarded 13 bachelors and 1 masters degree in 2003-04.

So I guess they accept around 13 dance students each year. (54
students/4 years is about 13 students/year and that also matches the
13 bachelors degrees awarded.)
