The best times not to travel in the Caribbean is August, September,
and first 2 weeks of October. Due to this time frame being very active
during the hurricane season, the chances of having your vacation cut
short by bad weather is greater during this time frame.
However, from a financial, budgetary point-of-view, the rates during
these times are cheaper. One solution I have reccommended to travelers
is the Superclubs all-inclusive resorts. IN fact, they offer a no-sun
guarantee for their Jamaican properties. If you are at one of their
resorts in Jamaica and the sun does not shine, you will be credited
with a FREE NIGHT stay on a return visit.
Other great places to visit are the Dominican Republic which is chock
full of all inclusives at 30% off other island rates. For reviews of
the resorts on this island, go to :

And as far as cruises, the rates right now are the lowest during
September. The higher rates are during the months of May, June, July
and part of August becasue of when the kids are out of school. Also
partly to blame is the fact taht during this time, the cruise lines
have moved shipds to Europe and Alaska which makes the tonnage
available in the Caribbean very much in demand. |
