I need to find a sensible way of storing my bike. The only suitable place in my flat is the small corridor by the front door. Not suprisingly it really gets in the way. Is there a storage system out there to solve this problem? The corridor is narrow (maybe 4.5 feet) and quite low (c. 8 feet)... thanks. |

I store my bicycle in my garage suspended from the ceiling by 3 rubber coated hooks. I first lift the bicycle upside down and latch each tire to a hook. I them push the midsection of the frame up toward the ceiling where I have a third hook suspended a bit further down on a cord that I catch to the frame. The whole bike is then flat to the ceiling with nearly 7 foot of clearance. Hope you can picture this, it works great for me. The main caveot I suppose is that I can easily lift my bike in such a manner and understand that many cannot. |
