What is the best hotel to stay in downtown Chicago? If possible we
would like a view of Magnificent Mile or the Navy Pier. We would be
open on the price but around 200.00 a night would be good. We are
going to be in Chicago on May 12 though the 15th. It will be myself,
my husband and my twelve year old daughter. We have not been to
Chicago so we hope to do a lot of sight seeing.

Kleinak --

One of the nicest hotels is the Hyatt Regency, right on Michigan
Avenue. Hyatt hotels are uniformly first-class but the real reason to
visit this hotel is the wonderful piano bar, that overlooks N.
Michigan Avenue:

Just west of the hotel is a hopping tapas restaurant:

And make sure to catch sunset from the lounge at the John Hancock
Building. You don't have to do the expensive dining room but can
enjoy the lounge at lower cost:

And my apologies for the spam from Mr. "Please email your reviews to

Omnivorous....

The spammers have crawled out of their holes and are all over the place here.
I sincelery hope that the GA bigwigs take notice and blacklist their sites.

Oh, good advice -- absolutely don't miss that! It's well worth the
price of a beverage and an appetizer.
