I'd like information about sales of soft drinks in the United States,
distinguishing between the diet drinks and those containing sugar.

What's crucial is "sugared" VERSUS "diet." if you give only *one* of
those, your answer doesn't qualify.

When I say "sales," I mean dollar volume of drinks sold, per year.
You can pick any year in the last 10 that you like. (If you can give
me values for several years during the last 10, that would earn extra
credit.)

When I say "diet ", that includes things like "Pepsi One" that has one
calorie of sugar per can. "Sugared" means at least 100 calories per
can. (Don't bother distinguishing between cans versus bottles.)

I want only major companies, such as Coca Cola or Pepsi. Any one
major company will satisfy the question, but two or more will earn
extra credit.)

I need not only the numbers, but also the reference to where you found
the information. I need at least the URL where you found it. If you
give me also a reference to a "real" source like Wall Street Journal,
that will earn you extra credit.

Gee, I can't think of any more details! If I missed anything, let me know.
