Will we have computer displays that project holographic text and
images, similar to Princess Leia's message to Obiwan in Star Wars? 
What would be required to make this happen?

We are getting close. They do have holographic dispalys much like a
cowboy and indian video game i played when i was a kid. But the army
is working on a display that produces 3d images. The monitor is
actually a big circle....reminds me of a crysal ball. Anyways to the
point you can look at the objects in it from all angles. I will see if
I can find some links.
