Whatever it is. It is on your desktop. You should be able to delete it
from there. You can reach them here to find out more.

With a name like that I almost think it is spyware

before taking more actions I suggest you download these three programs
seeing as they will help your computer in general anywyas.

This software is probably starting from your Start>Programs>Startup
folder, have a look in there. If you are sure you dont need it,
remove it from there, maybe make a copy or just leave it in the trash
for the moment. Reboot then look back in the Start>Programs>Startup
folder, if it is there again, then I suspect that this is malware, or
a virus. It could be running from the reg, but I would suggest trying
the above first then coming back here if you cant find it.

It is not in my startup folder when I click on start programs startup
I just have the programs that I use like microsoft office, quicken,
The only one I don't recognize is RAMASST and I don't know what that
is. I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop. But I also have trend micro
antivirus, spam, and firewall on my computer and it updates multiple
times a day. So doen't it prevent "spyware" viruses and other things
from happening? I'm leary of putting on a ton of other commercial
programs on like adaware, spybot search and destroy, whice would use
more system resources too I think. Frankly, I think most to ALL
viruses were prob created by the companys that scare us into buying
programs...LOL
and as far as calling ammeriplan. this is not a program from them.
I'm thinking that in opening up an email from another ameriplan
broker, I might have gotton some type of program that if I run it,
will allow them to capture some of my information?

Ok, there are 3 things you NEED to keep your computer protected, you
have 2 of them, a decent antivirus, a decent firewall, and just as
important a decent spyware remover.

Spyware search and destroy is often mentioned here, and for good
reason, it has helped thousands, I would seriously recommend
downloading it. That said I really dont think that the problem you
are describing is related to spyware.

If you want to turn this program off completely, then goto the run
dialogue box (hold down windows button and press R) and type MSCONFIG
(not case sensitive), and goto the 'startup' tab, the last one on the
end, have a look in there for your rogue program, and simply take the
tick out of the box for that program. I MUST add that you can do some
serious damage here if you start fiddling with the other options in
here, just a warning. Afgter you have finished, reboot and let me
know if it worked.

check that link x001.exe is a trojan creation tool so the thing
that keeps popping up is somekind of trojan. You should probably get
rid of it, use a combination of "SpyBot search and destroy" and
"Spyware Blaster" both free downloads try Sourceforge.net. Also,
never use I.E. get a third party browser (firefox) instead. Over time
if allowed to accumulate spyware will use as much system reasources as
any of those programs, plus it will spy on you. Please post any other
problems you might have getting rid the trojan.
