There are services out there that can find a location of someone by
just providing them with a cell phone number. It works on any cell
phone, you provide the number, they give you the GPS coordinates
and/or address of where the phone is. It usually costs $320 a search,
which is extremely expensive. I run a car service company and have
around 50 drivers that I want to know where they are all at, at one
time so I can provide my customers with the fastest pickup. They all
have their own cell phones, most have GPS already. What company are
these people using to look people up? I've seen ulocate.com which is
kind of what I'm looking for. Any other services out there? I'm not
interested in nextel, and I dont want new phones. I want a service
that can find the location of any cell phone on any carrier. The more
info you can provide the better I tip.

I think what you are asking for is something like a real time mapping,
cell phone tracking application. You'd need many cellular providers to
subscribe to the service, thereby including as many of your drivers as
possible.

To make this cost effective, you'd need permission from all the
cellular phone owners, thereby taking the covert out of the operation.
Let me know if this is along the lines of something that would work.

There are web based services available that own this server that you
can subscribe to, or buy one yourself.

Microsoft MapPoint Location Server

Microsoft® MapPoint® Location Server is an enterprise server product
that works with PC and mobile device clients to help enterprise users
determine the location of coworkers whose jobs frequently take them
out of the office. With MapPoint Location Server, a user can find?and
show on a map screen?the location of a coworker when he or she is
using a wireless device. Mobile personnel can use MapPoint Location
Server to locate each other and to find other places they want to
visit. Non-mobile personnel can use MapPoint Mobile Locator for PC
software to locate enterprise users who are on the road; for example,
to dispatch an employee to make a delivery or make a service call.

Tell me what you think.

You may also want to check out the commercial applications under

and another of your aforementioned expensive tracking sites (but
legit?) appears to be found at
