The audience for MMORPGs is not fixed -- it changes with each game. World of Warcraft introduced a lot of new people to MMORPGs and so did Second Life (if you consider it an MMORPG at all). Are you looking for the number of people who already play MMORPGs or the number who potentially could, based on (say) percent of population with internet access? I can answer your question more generally: MMORPGs are popular everywhere you'd expect them to be, more so in places with bad weather (i.e. Australia has proportionally fewer players than Canada). South Korea is the nation with the greatest MMORPG penetration, by far. |

You can't say how many people will play your game, because it could be horrible and get few people playing, or it could be great and get thousands. I would say the limit on one server is about 5000. |
