I and looking for information on the differences between Microstation V8 and Powerdraft software. I have been told that Powerdraft is very similar to the full Microstation software, but I am having trouble finding definite information. Thanks, John |

Hi John, Yes, PowerDraft is very similar to the full Bentley MicroStation version. Bentley puts out PowerDraft as a cheaper version of full MicroStation, but with reduced functionality. Probably most important is the almost complete lack of any 3D tools in PowerDraft. 2D functionality, however, is very good. You can even download PowerDraft for free if you are a student. Go to Bentley.com and search for "BEN Powerdraft" and look for the free download. For specific information on the differences between PowerDraft and MicroStation you can go to our website at http://www.micro-press.com and download a comparison between the two versions. You will also find a link to Bentley for the download page. Let me know if I can help further. Peter Mann Micro-Press.com info@micro-press.com |
