I have a Ximeta Netdisk connected over a LAN. It worked fine for approximately 3 months. Now it randomly disconnects itself and then reconnects by itself with no intervention from me. I run Win XP. I've tried disabling my antivirus, but that doesn't help. Does anyone have any idea how to remedy this? Thanks |

Hi Mineral! you can try the following... - upgrade your winxp from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com - stop using p2p programs like kazaa, edonkey or any other that can extremely use your connection and then reduces the bandwidth available for the net connection to your Netdisk - check if the use of the disk is fine from the machine where is connected to in order to discard a problem from the server - check if the server has a p2p running or any other service or process that can affect the network performance - run the "netstat" comand from your dos prompt and check if ther is any connection from any ip/machine when you try to use your netdisk, maybe you have a virus or spyware hope you find this answer usefull, Emiliano. |
