I saw it years ago and can not remember the name or actors. this is
what I remember. Old possible B Western,
Place I think is mexico, a bandit steals two horses ( white I think)
he puts them in a stable for a while and when he returns the horses
are almost dead from starvation and he flips out and Kills the stable
keeper, so now he is on the run from the law, and as time goes on a
lot of other bandits join him and he becomes the leader of a small
army, they raid and kill all over the place untill he is caught. he is
sentenced to death, before they kill him ( tied to a wagon wheel and
rolled down a hill) they ask his last wishes, his last wish is to see
the two horses set free. so he dies and last thing you see are these
two horses running free. I am starting to think I am the only person
who has ever seen this movie! please help.

That sounds like a German costume epic called "Michael Kohlhaas - Der
Rebel" (1969), about a peasant who led an uprising against a vicious
nobleman during the Thirty Years War. The ending was precisely as you
described. Not a B Western and not from the 50s, but otherwise the
plot is the same. There's a dubbed version released in the U.S. called
"Man on Horseback," which you may have seen. Here's the Internet Movie
Database page on it:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064662/

While it is possible the German film was based on an American western
with the same plot made in the 50s, I have been unable to find
anything like it using the search capabilities of the Internet Movie
Database.

Both those movies do sound like it, but they are not what I saw. I am
just guessing the time frame because no one else seems to have heard
of it so thought maybe the 50's. thinking about the content of the
movie though I guess I am probably wrong. I do remember everyone
talking with an accent though, mexican not german. So maybe I should
start looking at all the old Sergio Leone films?
Anyway, thanks for the help, you got me closer then I have ever been.

The western film "The Jack Bull" was adapted from Heinrich von
Kleist's novel about Michael Kohlhaas.
