I have a T3Tungsten Palm PDA. It works fine, but when I try to do an
infrared synch (with infrared indicated on the both the laptop and
PDA) with my laptop, it says the port is in use for another
application (don't know what that means, but nothing else is plugged
in.) On my desktop computer, I have another problem. The calendar
portion of the software displays the month and year, but won't display
daily calendars. It gets hung up, and I have to "end task". This never
happened before. Reinstalling the software from the Palm site doesn't
help. Please let me know how to do the infrared synch with my laptop
and also what to do about the desktop software's "glich" that prevents
me from getting a daily view of my calendar.

You may have already tried this, but every time I have a hotsync or
other problem with my Palm PDA (which is often) I use PalmOne's
customer support email service at palmone.com.  I am always amazed at
how fast and accurate (and free) their responses are.  Good luck!

Thank you for advice, happytobeme. When I go to the site, I see a link
for phone support (which I have tried) and links to support forums.
How to I send an email directly to them for a response?

In the US site, I go to support/customer support/request help.  You
have to describe your problem and your device (mine is a Zire 71). 
They make a few canned suggestions for help.  If those don't work, I
click on the button for "more support options".  Then there are two
paragraphs, telephone support and email support.  I click on the email
support and fill out a bunch more info and usually get my answer in
less than 12 hours.

Maybe email support isn't available for the T3 Tungsten?  Good luck!!!
