I am 17 yrs old, and have amazing ideas for a new make-up line. I have
written a business plan. I have given several presentations at major
sites such as USC with many huge investors. They have all been very
interested and one wants me to make my financials more accurate.
Basically, I have an amazing design and idea that would really sell,
and I need to know how to sell this idea for maximum results.
Please Help!

Firs you need to make some examples of your product. I could look to
see if I can find a company that will do this for you but I need to
know what the product is. I realise that you do not want to give out a
lot of information so you can just tell me weither it is makup
perfume, hair item etc. Just some none specific examples will work.
That way I can look for a company that can manafacture it for you.

xsasx91-ga,

As a new user, you may want to know how to tell GA researchers from
commenters. Duly designated GA researchers are those whose names
appear in blue and underlined, and only they can fill in the "Answer"
box and collect the fee you offered.

Good luck with your idea--

Subject: 1st - prepare a thorough business plan (fill in the gaps you now have)

You state you already have a business plan, but also state that others
have asked for more financial detail. You are also now asking for a
marketing plan, which is an essential part of the business plan, even
more important than the financial part of the plan since the
financials are built on successful marketing. These are both obvious
gaps in any start-up business plan. Having not seen your plan, it is
difficult to identify other deficiencies. In any event, you need to
use your business plan for more than gaining help in moving forward.
You need to use this plan to help clarify your own thinking about what
you really want to do and how you are going to approach this effort.
Some basic questions that need to be answered are:
 - Who am I and why am I qualified to run this business?
 - Who is my target customer and how can I best reach them both
physically (distribution) and mentally (reason to buy)?
 - What is the minimum size operation to reach financial viability and
how long will it take to reach?
 - Who else needs to be involved to provide suitable coverage of all
business functions?
 - How much do I know about the industry beyond being a user of similar products?
 - What niche within this industry am I trying to enter? (Everyone
sees the obvious market players, but miss the many supporting
companies behind the scenes.)
 - Who are my principle competitors and what are their market weaknesses?

If you have covered all this in sufficient detail, you may then want
to repost a question that is more focused on what you need for filling
in any gaps in your business plan. Good luck with your future.
