Have you found Walk on Water itself? Although it has just come out in
the U.S., I think the film was released in Israel last year and could
be out on DVD there, but likely not Region 1 encoded.

Thanks for accepting my findings as your answer. I've reposted the info below.

Amazon: Late Marriage (2001)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00008H2NK

This film will be released on DVD next month:

VideoFlicks: Sima the Witch

Walk on Water (LaLehet Al HaMayim) has been released on DVD in PAL
format, Region 2 encoded. It appears that a Region 1 DVD should be
coming soon to a home theater near you:

"[German DVD will be released in January 2005,
  American DVD in Spring 2005]"

Esther Ofarim: Walk on Water

Another website, Video ETA, estimates a later American video release:

"In Theaters: March 4, 2005
On Video: Estimated for December 2005"

Video ETA: Walk on Water
http://videoeta.com/movie/71996

Video ETA can send you a "reminder" when the film is released on DVD.
If you use this service, you might want to use a web-based email
address that is not your main email address, since this kind of thing
sometimes results in spammage.

Video ETA: Reminder

Here's the film's official website:

Lots of video clips:

Google search strategy:

Google Web Search: "walk on water" OR "lalehet al hamayim" DVD
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22walk+on+water%22+OR+%22lalehet+al+hamayim%22+DVD+

Just curious: have you seen "Walk on Water" yet? A friend of mine who
lives in Chicago saw it last week, and he was very impressed.

Best,

Thanks for the fine research.

I have seen Walk on Water. It is an excellent film. The acting is
superb, and the lead actor (the topic of this question) is ruggedly
beautiful, beating out all the Hollywood pretty-boys in the looks
dept.

Other than "Walk on Water," this is the only one I've found:

Thanks for the five stars and the nice tip!

I'm eager to see this film, but I will probably have to wait for the
DVD, since it isn't likely that my town's theaters will book "Walk on
Water." From the still shots and video clips I've seen, I certainly
agree about the looks of Lior Ashkenazi. I'd trade a boatload of Tom
Cruises, Brad Pitts, and their vapid ilk for this guy.

A followup:

Thanks to a letter-writing campaign, a theater in my town has now
booked "Walk on Water." I hope to see it soon!
