Question ID: 494411
I have a Wireless Microsoft Optical Desktop for Bluetooth and the
transceiver has died (power surge). The MicroSoft support team has
had the complete deskset on back order since January. Is there
another bluetooth transceiver that I can buy that will allow the keyboard and
mouse to connect to my Laptop?
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

There is only one requirement for your Bluetooth "adapter". This
transceiver have to "know" the HID service, because the keyboard and
mouse are HID devices (HID = Human Interface Driver) .

So are you aware of a bluetooth transceiver (other than the one
provided by microsoft) that can recognize these HIDs?
