Hi,

I seek a vacation destination (a hotel, resort, or cabin) to fit the
following parameters and am having trouble finding one.

- Dates of stay are Monday May 23rd through Thursday May 26th (no later than 27th).

- Resort/hotel/cabin must cost no more than $430 for four nights. No
more than around $360 for three nights.

- Resort/hotel/cabin must be within 20-30 miles or so of airport (for
cab) if no public transport is available. If public transport
available, cost must not exceed more than $40-50.

- Resort/hotel/cabin must be in quiet environment AND within walking
distance of beach. No casino hotels or downtown airport hotels.

- Resort/hotel/cabin must be within 20-30 miles or access of public
transport of these airports-

Los Angeles CA, San Diego CA, Ft. Myers FL, Tampa FL.

Thank you!

I suggest you look into Marco Island, which is in SW Florida, near
Naples. I spent many summers there growing up and I believe it meets
all of your parameters. There is a wide range of hotel options from
resorts (like the Marriott Marco Island) to suites to motel rooms.
All points are near the beach, there are family activities, and a
decent choice of restaurants.

Thank you. I am looking at either Marco Island or Sanibel Island and
leaning to Sanibel because it is close to Ft Myers Airport. I do not
drive in America so this is important. Also Sanibel seems less crowded
because I will be doing doctorate research. Both seem beautiful. Thank
you.

I have lived in the Sarasota region and it is one of the best areas of
Florida. The best accomodation for you would be at the Holiday Inn
Sarasota-Lido Beach. The hotel is across the street from the beach, is
3 blocks away from ST Armands Circle (a wealth of great restaurants,
dining, and shops/boutiques). The beach is very quiet, and features
some of the best sand in Florida. I checked rates on a website
www.clickngovacations.com and the going rate is $432 for the dates you
requested.

I have had a lot of people visiting us stay there and loved every
minute of their stay. The Sarasota airport is only 15 min away by
taxi, and you are near the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall and downtown
Sarasota (5 min away) where you can catch a movie, dine out on the
waterfront, and have a peaceful vacation.

Since I live here, if I can be of any assistance, let me know.
